OVERVIEW

The Dean for Research Office is pleased to request proposals for the Giglia Endowment Award for Innovative Agriculture. This is a $5,000 award to “support research at UF/IFAS that is focused on products and/or technology that incorporates a new approach to agricultural practices; preference shall be given to research associated with new technologies for conserving water in agriculture and horticulture production.”

ELIGIBILITY

Any UF/IFAS Faculty member is eligible to apply. 

SUBMISSION PROCESS

To apply for this award, please go to the following website: http://researchtools.ifas.ufl.edu/giglia/ and complete the three page form by Wednesday, June 14th, 2017. The information requested includes:

Page 1: Cover sheet (project title and the name, unit, phone number and email of the PI; you will be prompted to enter co-PI information before proceeding to Page 2).

Page 2: Budget (limited to $5,000 that can be itemized by salary & fringe, materials & supplies, and other categories; brief justification is limited to 250 words).

Page 3: Narrative (description, justification, and value of the project to Florida agriculture; each text box is limited to 500 words). 

Upon submission, the lead PI should receive an immediate email confirmation.
