Christine Frank is a Research Development Administrator with the Proposal Action Team (PAcT) in the UF/IFAS Office of the Dean for Research. In this role she supports IFAS faculty in identifying and decoding funding agency opportunities and tailoring novel ideas to inform projects that align with agency priorities, helps build transdisciplinary teams for large-scale and complex proposal development, assists faculty with navigating and leveraging the array of IFAS and UF resources to strengthen their proposals and provides feedback on proposal content, coordinates red team reviews, and facilitates teams in debriefing the overall proposal experience and outcomes. She has experience working with state and federal agencies, particularly National Institute of Health (NIH) funding and training opportunities with which she worked extensively during her former role with the Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium (SHARC) situated in both the UF College of Medicine and College of Public Health and Health Professions. Christine coordinates the All-IFAS NSF Early CAREER Proposal Development and Writing Cohort and collaborates with the PAcT in shaping the IFAS Proposal Resources and Examples (PRE) portfolio of tools. She is a social scientist who holds a doctorate focused on multilevel (local, regional, national) policy aimed at Human Capacity Building and Team Science, and previously pursued an extensive career in multinational education centered on graduate-level research training and development. Her passion is to bring people together around research innovation, and to extend the experience and benefits of research participation to communities both within and outside the academic enterprise.
