Dr. Kirsten Pelz-Stelinski serves as Associate Dean for Research with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). In this role, she supports the development and advancement of the UF/IFAS Research enterprise, working with faculty, research and education centers, academic units, and external partners.
Prior to joining the UF/IFAS Office of the Dean for Research, Dr. Pelz-Stelinski served as Director of the UF/IFAS Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC) in Apopka.
Dr. Pelz-Stelinski is an entomologist whose research specializes in vector biology, insect microbiology, and insect molecular genetics, with an emphasis on developing strategies for vector management. She is a tenured Professor in the UF Department of Entomology and Nematology and has been a member of the UF/IFAS faculty since 2009.
