2017 Awards Ceremony
The UF/IFAS Dean for Research Office hosted the 10th Annual UF/IFAS Florida Agricultural Experiment Station Awards Ceremony at the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
Approximately 180 people attended the invitation-only event recognizing UF/IFAS faculty, graduate students, and staff for their achievements.
The following video debuted at the ceremony and overviews four international programs aided by the 2016 UF/IFAS Mid-Career International Travel Award, a pilot program that provides travel funding for faculty and their graduate students:
The next video highlights assistant professor Patricio Muñoz, the Richard L. Jones Outstanding New Faculty Research awardee, and his work in the UF/IFAS forage breeding program:
The final, student-produced videos shown during the ceremony gave insight into how assistant research scientist Andrea Lucky developed School of Ants, a citizen science program, and the progress assistant professor Brian Pearson has made toward successfully growing hops in Florida.
