2017 UF/IFAS Summer Research Internships
The Florida Agricultural Experiment Station (FAES) is the research program of UF/IFAS and has more than 450 active projects. Each summer, the FAES partners with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences to fund undergraduate students who want hands-on experience with one of those projects. This program connects students with mentors who expose them to the scientific process in a way that helps shape their future careers.
The UF/IFAS Summer Research Internship Program funded 50 students this summer. One of those students, Kevin Scheiber, is helping scientists in the Flory Lab investigate drought and cogongrass invasion on longleaf pine communities. Learn more about his experience here:
