Projects

The Florida Agricultural Experiment Station (FAES)/Current Research Information System (CRIS) Projects System is a planning and budgeting tool, and an important component of the institute's accountability system.
An enhancement of the USDA/CRIS system used at all Agricultural Experiment Stations, it enables our faculty to identify and describe their comprehensive research programs, monitor related activities and progress, and analyze and report research funding.

Current Policy

All research should be documented in both the USDA-CRIS Systems. Research Projects must support the IFAS mission and the specific goals of the faculty's Unit.

A search of the USDA-CRIS database can be conducted to identify existing projects (at the local and/or national level) in a given subject matter area.

Instructions for Project Preparation & Submission

Proposals for projects must be submitted for review to your unit leader before being established in the CRIS database system. Project statements must be prepared according to the format and procedures of Internal Management Memorandum 6C1-6.120-3 and given to the faculty member’s home unit leader.
