Grantsmanship Workshops - March 19 and 20

Grantsmanship Workshops - March 19 and 20

To help improve your success in grantsmanship and extramural funding, I am pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting grantsmanship workshops this Spring. This year, we are hosting two workshops for faculty; no workshops for graduate students are planned for this spring.

The first workshop is one that IFAS has hosted in the past, a day-long workshop on writing winning grants to be held on March 19. As in previous years, this workshop will feature presentations by Dr. Stephen Russell, who will be joined this year by Dr. Peg AtKisson. The second workshop is a 1/2 day workshop focused on NSF CAREER awards on March 20, and will also be led by Drs. Russell and AtKisson.

Our office will cover registration costs for IFAS faculty. Registration fees for non-IFAS faculty will be $225 for the full day workshop and $200 for the half day workshop. Space is limited, so I encourage you to register as soon as possible to guarantee your space.

I have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the quality of Dr. Russell's workshops, and a number of faculty have told me that taking one of these workshops has been the key to their success on grants. I hope that you find these workshops of value and that it facilitates your success in grantsmanship.
